Nevada - "Life at its Best"

Overview
Nevada has become a destination location for many people and businesses over the past several years.  In fact, Nevada grew faster than any other state in the country during the 1990’s, and all bets are on a continuation of this trend as we move forward.  While there are many financial / economic reasons for Nevada’s rapid growth, it probably doesn’t hurt that the Silver State is home to some of the country's most spectacular skiing and water sports activities at and near Lake Tahoe. Additionally there are more than 200 mountain ranges throughout the state that provide a multitude of year-round recreation options.

The Nevada Outdoor Lifestyle
Living in the "Silver State" offers the excitement and sophistication of urban areas, or peaceful, hometown living in one of Nevada's rural communities. Nevada is a spectacular mix of deserts, lakes and mountains, with a wealth of outdoor activities including golfing, skiing, fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, biking, and swimming.
Nevada's communities also offer a variety of colorful festivals and events year round including Basque and Native American festivals, Hot August Nights, the Great Reno Balloon Race, the National Championship Air Races and many more.

Climate & Recreation
Nevada is the Spanish word for "snow capped”.  While Northern Nevada enjoys four distinct seasons, none of them are severe, and the state's overall lack of humidity gives the weather a more moderate feel allowing for outdoor activities all year.  The sun shines more than 300 days per year and the winter days are usually crisp, white, and sunny.  Annual precipitation is typically 15 inches or less reaching a low of four inches in the southern region of the state.
